HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KEVIN!

First of all, this picture was taken on Kevin's b-day so i'm going to talk about it really quick. We found a really great "time out"! The bottom of the stairs. Zack doesn't climb stairs, they just don't intrest him. He can't walk either. I sat him on the bottom step the other morning and he just sat there. His feet touch the ground but he is too chicken to try and move. He sat there for 20 minutes whining at times. I would hold my hand out for him to grab and walk over to me but he wouldn't. Funny boy!
On to Kevin's birthday... The night before we had some cool people over to swim and I made his favorite, spaghetti! It was a fun night. So the next day we had nothing planned. Which was really nice because we've been sooo busy! We lazed and let Kevin open presents. Later on he decided he wanted to go mini golfing and after that we met some other cool people and went to Tepanyaki for dinner.

After a lovely dinner we stopped at Thanksgiving Point to get ice cream. I ordered sherbet on a cone and was nicely sharing with Zack across the table. On his 3rd bite the sherbet fell and landed in Zack's lap and rolled to the floor. SO FUNNY! He thought it was a little strange. So I gave Zack my cone, he thought that was pretty cool. If you've ever wondered how to enjoy an ice cream cone, THIS is how. Look how serious he is.

A & B's wedding!

Our friend Brett and our NEW friend Aurie got married yesterday. Brett was my "bridesman" at our wedding and Aurie lives in my brothers ward. Last October we set them up and here we are!
It was a beautiful, chaotic, perfect day for a wedding! Sorry, they aren't great pictures.

So much has happened this last week. I'll try to keep this brief but we took about 400 pictures from Zack's birthday.

First off, Zack's cousin Bella's b-day party: they let him share the cake with her. I wish I had a good one of the two of them together. It was so funny! As you can see Bella got him good on his head.

1 year, HOLY COW!

One year ago, can you believe it?

Zack's stats at birth:
6 lbs 2 oz
19 in. long


Zack's stats one year later:
22 lbs 3 oz
30 1/4 in tall

And because I know everyone is wondering...
Kevin was 21 lbs 7 oz and 31 in at a year.

I probably weighed a little less (I was a chunk) but not nearly so tall.

Hopefully Zack will end up somewhere in the middle height wise!

First Birthday Card!

Zack's Grandma sent him a card in the mail for his birthday. We got it Monday night and HAD to open it. Here is a play-by-play.

"Oh look, some mail with my name on it."

"Oh my gosh! It's from Grandma and Grandpa West!"

"Let's see, a card and a check."

"Gross, it's money. I'll give that to my mom, she'll know what to do with it"

The check actually was tossed and crinkled several times. I was trying to convince
him that it was GOOD but he didn't want to listen.

"This is what I was lookin' for."




"Gotta make sure there aren't anymore stupid CHECKS in there!"




"Ok, now I can read it. Grandma always writes the best stuff in these things."

Next time though, just give my mom your money, she is better at spending it than I am.

Zack and Mommy on Mother's Day

This was our first Mother's Day together, almost our second.
I went into labor on Mother's Day last year. Zack missed it by about 8 hours.

One Hard Core Sleeper

This kid cracks me up! I always go in to check on Zack after he falls asleep for 2 reasons A- to see what position he is in and 2- to put his blanket on him. In this picture he is totally zonked out. Talk about a stiff neck, or maybe back! He is lying on Monkey's arm so that helps a little. I love how he is holding onto his foot too.

Zack has been giving us a run for our money lately so
I felt I needed to do a little post to remind
US just how cute and charming he really is.

We went to the Draper Temple a few Sundays ago. Look how precious!

Ahh the infamous skinny jammies. As you can see on his right arm,
they are cut so we could fit his fat hands into them.

We still LOVE you Silly Bebe, even in you are throwing
tantrums and not taking good naps!
