Couldn't help but blog this pic!

Look at this sweet baby, this was at the end of a REALLY long day for Zack. (I think he would tell you yesterday was the worst day of his life) He had a minor allergic reaction while we were at his cousins house with lots of kids around paying too much attention to him and it was nap time. I haven't seen him so upset for a very long time.

And I just had to tell you about these new pajamas........................

I bought these pj's, they looked a little "slim" but I figured they would be okay. I tried to put them on Zack last night and couldn't get cuffs over his wrists! My baby is not THAT fat, but holy cow! As soon and I got them on he started freaking out. Almost like they were cutting off his circulation. I don't usually find pleasure in my child's pain, but this was hilarious! I wish I had it on video. He was sooooo mad! I finally had to cut a slit through each cuff so he would calm down. This world is not a very happy place for fat babies!

Day 4 of the Easter Marathon

Day 4

Since Kevin's brother was in town he took Monday off to spend time with him. Monday was also Jeff's birthday so we wanted to do some fun things. We got up early and made french toast. By 10:00 they were already off to Boondocks to play some mini golf before they met Zack and I as well as most of my family at The Living Planet Aquarium. My dad used to work there and some how got a bunch of tickets for us. We hadn't been there in a while and they have added some new stuff.

Zack, Alex, Lily and camera strap sitting in a canoe somewhere in South America

Anabella, Zack and I somehow made our way into the fish tank!

Me and My little Baby Bella (only she isn't a baby anymore)

Emily and Bella

Zack and Mommy, trying to get him to crawl to Emily,
he was pretty hesitant.

Lovely picture of my little family, taken by Emily.

Next we went downtown to PF Changs for lunch! Zack and Jeff had never been there and I think they both liked it. I of course stuffed myself! It's a good thing we don't have a PF's around here.

It was such a beautiful day, I wanted to just walk the streets of downtown and enjoy the sun. We went to the Clark Planetarium instead. I was beat by this time and so was Zack. He was going on 7 hours since "wake up" with no nap. It was his own fault though, I stayed home from mini golf so Zack could take his nap but he played in his bed the whole 2 hours. Despite our exhaustion we decided to be good sports and tough it out. Zack actually did pretty good until the end.

Daddy and Zack doing the Weather

Zack exploring the Moon

I think he liked Mars better because he tried to crawl around

By 3:30 Zack was having a melt down. I made him a bottle and he finally crashed in his stroller. By this time we were done and it was time to head back. We left Kevin's car in Sandy because He and Jeff were also (As if they hadn't done enough that day) going to the Jazz game. The ride back to Sandy was brutal, I was exhausted! I slept most of the way. I was worried about driving home but my mom invited me to come hang out with them, so I drove to WJ hoping that Zack would stay asleep until we got there. I wanted so desperately to dive into my bed and sleep another hour. NOPE! As soon as we saw Bernie he was awake. YEAH, I love being a mom! We had a nice little evening with mostly my mom. We played with Bernie, ate Talapia for dinner and took a walk. Then we went home and went to bed :)

What a weekend!

It took Zack and I a whole week to recouperate. Maybe we need to get out more?

Day 3

Easter Morn

I thought it would be fun to make Zack some eggs for breakfast on Easter morning. He tolerated them but wasn't as excited as I was.

The Easter Bunny was lazy and didn't come until after church. But man, did he come! I got a rice cooker that I got to use the weekend before but it doesn't work. HA HA It was full of good stuff though so it's okay.

Kevin got 2 tool boxes in the hopes that he will organize his crap in the garage. He also got a gigantic chocolate bunny (he always asks for a big chocolate something or other, he must get it from his mom). He said it tasted terrible, next time the Easter Bunny will have to opt for a smaller "name brand" chocolate something or other.

Zack got a car, surprise surprise! We bought it for him about a month ago and couldn't help giving it to him early. Inside his car however were empty Easter eggs, peeps that he wont get to eat, an Easter book and some crayons that I decided he was too young for. So not too exciting for him. He does love his car though, he is really getting around on that thing these days.

I hope you enjoyed the collage of pictures. Maybe I don't know how to do it right but putting all these pictures in order and then writing about them and making it all look good is really hard!

After our visit from the Easter Bunny Kevin drove to Salt Lake to get his little brother Jeff to come stay with us for the rest of his trip. Zack and I took a nap, it was lovely. When they returned we had taco salad for dinner and let Jeff have his Easter gift.

Here is Jeffrey with his present from the Easter bunny.
That evening since we didn't have anything planned I invited my parents
and lil bro and sis over to play games.

That's when the PARTY started!

My family loves to play games, and it's not something we get to do often these days. We started off with a few rounds of pounce. We all played in teams except my brother Matt was on his own. The first few rounds were good. I wasn't playing my usual "win all" game because I had Zack and Emily on my team. I don't think the fact that I haven't played in a long time has anything to do with it either! Pretty soon Kevin and my dad got tired of playing by the rules and decided to make things exciting. Can you smell cheaters?! They weren't even on the same team. Anyways, jelly beans started to fly. My own Mother was one of the offenders, if you can believe that. Kevin said later that night "Even your MOM was throwing jelly beans at me!"

We decided to move to a different game -Mad Gab-. How in the world did Matt, my dad and Kevin get on the same team????????????? We will call them the "B" team. This game didn't last long. It all started when I gave my team a simple teeny tiny little clue. "B" team felt threatened by this and began playing by their own rules. Instead of letting us have our turn, the "B" team thought they needed to help us and would blurt out WRONG answers to confuse us. They also were scoring us incorrectly and in the end the score pad showed them as the winners. Pretty soon it was an all out war. We quickly had to end this game for fear of a brawl.

The last game we chose was Mexican Train Dominos, I figured this would be a nice calm game to settle everyone down and people don't usually cheat. This game only lasted a few rounds as well. We were all a little crazy from all the candy we had been eating wolfing down. We even had a few visits from Crazy Old Grandpa Cavett, "Today's the day! Today's the day!" (sorry, only my family is going to get that) By the end of the game my dad was tired of the candy and begging Zack for his baby cookies.

It was so fun to have our family over to play games. I think we all needed to let our hair down a little and just go crazy. Although the 2 level headed ones of the bunch, Jeff and Zack, just thought we were nuts.

Easter Weekend Marathon Day 2

Saturday we had 2 parties attend. One was a birthday party for Kevin's brother Jeff and his nephew Skylar. The other was my family Easter party. The birthday party with Kevin's family was filled with great people and as always, GREAT FOOD! (Thanks Michele) Kevin's brother Jeff flew in from Denver for his birthday so it was fun to have him there. Zack loves to get together with all of his cousins and aunts and uncles, he always gets lots of attention. It's always fun to see he and Bella together too. They are still almost the same height though Bella is half as wide as Zack. I didn't take any pictures at that party, i'll have to get some from Michele and add them later.

After the birthday party we drove home from SL to get our things for the next party. The Easter party was at my parents house. We drove up and I got excited because there was a special surprise waiting there for me!

Whitney!

My cousin Katie had her baby on Thursday (the 9th) My brother and his wife had her 2 boys and were at my parents for the party. So on their way home from the Hospital Katie had to stop and get her boys. I got to hold her for about an hour. It was so fun! She is so precious! Zack liked her too. My mom was holding him so I went and sat by them so he could see the baby. He would whine at me if I tried to walk away.

I think Whitney is Lily's favorite now. Lily is such a little mommy. She loves to hold Zack but now he is as big as she is. The other day she was holding him on the floor and she fell over backwards from the weight. I think she is glad to have a smaller baby around to hold. It's hard to believe that Zack was almost 2 pounds smaller than her! She seems so tiny to me.

Here is Inspector Zack, he kept crawling over to climb on the car seat to check her out.

Next on the Agenda: The Easter Egg Hunt!

All the kids lined up ready for someone to say "GO". The thing is, we didn't know who was in charge so they had to wait a minute for us to figure that out and say "GO".Bella and her loot

Zack, trying to figure out how these things work. He kept hitting them together and the candy would fly all over.

Lily and Alex

After dinner......

It was cake time!

The kids and the coveted bunny cake. Since they like to blow out candles my mom decided to light the thing up. Before we let them blow them out my Dad led us in some sort of Bunny death song that had the tune of "Happy Birthday"

The kids picked what part of the bunny they wanted to eat, all ears.
Not very many people had any cake and I was feeling kind of bad, but we were all so stuffed from our Easter feast I didn't blame them. Kevin had a piece of course, immediately he told me it wasn't very good. I had a piece and it wasn't. I should have done chocolate frosting! Next time maybe i'll make a double layer bunny with filling in the middle or something. But I will do chocolate frosting and probably not piped with stars.

Easter Weekend Day 1

This weekend we had more events planned than we did in 2008 combined. It was awesome! The fun started on Friday night when I decided to take on an impossible project. We had my family Easter party on Saturday evening and I had the job of bringing dessert. I wanted to make something really fun for the kids so I started looking online for ideas. I found this adorable bunny made from 2- 9 inch round cakes. I'm not a very good cake decorator but decided to try it anyway. Amazingly is wasn't THAT hard. I was very careful to get the cakes out of the pans without destroying them (like on Valentines). I cut the shapes just right and I was shocked. I let them cool for quite a while and made the frosting which turned out to be more than enough so that was good! I had Kevin get me some things from the store to decorate with. He got all the wrong things, but it all worked out anyway. I started frosting at about 8:00 and expected to only finish half the cake that night. By 11:45 I think we were all done. YEAH! It looked silly but I was proud of myself! Kevin was nice enough to pause the Jazz game and sit and be my moral support while I slaved away piping the cake with stars. If I didn't have carpal tunnel before, I do now! I wish I would have done chocolate frosting, I think he would have been cute as a brown bunny. There is always next year! Here is a picture of my masterpiece. You'll see more in Day 2 of our weekend.

My Hat

Today I went in to get Zack after his nap and he was pointing to his shelf that has stuffed animals and his hats on it. We don't usually make him wear the hats and he doesn't get to play with the stuffed animals. He was so interested that I decided I would get them down for a minute. We made the animal sounds and then got the hats down and I put each one on his head. Which he liked but would always pull it off. I put the hats back and put Zack on the floor to change his diaper. He immediately started crying. Gee Wiz, I'm just changing your diaper! He was whining and pointing up to the shelf. When I finished we stood up and he was happy to be closer to the hats. I started to walk out of the room because it was time for a snack and he started crying again! So I went back to the shelf, "Ahh" (smile) pointing to the blue bucket hat. I got it down and you would have thought it was Christmas! I would put it on and he would take it off. Then he would try to put it on or just wave it around. He gets excited about the silliest things! Like socks and this just in WIPES! This morning I didn't realize I left them out. I heard a really happy boy in the other room, and I found him sitting in a pile of wipes mixed with the shirts from his drawer. His pants are missing today because they got so wet from playing in the wipes.
Isn't it wonderful that the simplest things in life can make us so HAPPY?!

P.S. Zack is really on the move now so my blogging days are numbered.

Some Zackness

Just a few pictures of Zack in the last few weeks.

Rollin in my race car

Some love for Elmo

Seriously we have the happiest kid in the world. This picture was taken about
20 minutes after falling head first off the couch onto the hardwood floor.
He has a little bump in the right side of his head. Sorry Bebe!

Playing our favorite game Peek-a-boo over the stairs. Safe I know...

A few weeks ago while Daddy was "supervising" the install of our hardwood we
went to Grandma's house for the day. It was beautiful weather and we enjoyed
playing outside with Bernie and Matt and riding the race car! Zack really liked
sitting on the grass and playing with the strange green stuff.
He only tried to eat it once.

Kisses from Bern!

It was a real struggle to get the 2 of them to look at the camera.

And Finally, I love this picture that Matt took. There was another
really good one but it had Bernie's bum in the background.

Disclaimer to April Fools Post

So, I hope you all enjoyed Kevin's prank as much as we did. Believe me, we did. We made a mistake though. Because Kevin and Josh always play pranks on each other and because Josh is always so brilliant in his ideas we assumed that is was Josh who put Kevin's car up for sale. Nope!

That person has asked that he receive proper credit so here you go.

It was David/Buddy! That explains the Cowgirls comments.

So here you go, here's your metal. I just hope you can take what's coming your way.

P.S. Josh how are you going to up this?
