Dooby, we call her.
Next time we name a child, remind us to go through all the
possible nick names and make sure the name doesn't
rhyme with Dooby or Booby.

wear her food. Almost anything she eats is also smeared all over her "mace" as
she calls it, requiring a bath almost daily. Yogurt is the worst offender, but i've been
known to wear yogurt on my face too, so moisturizing!
Rubes is obsessed with our dog and cat. LOVES them.
She calls the cat "key key" and Bernie is called "Mye".
Her latest trick is to let Bernie into the garage so she
can eat the cat poop. Notice she is wearing my boots.
And anyone who knows me will tell you Ruby owns more red than any other color.
The girls got style.
I tried to change her diaper this day and she wouldn't
let me, she said "no I Tinkerbell!"
I never thought I would let all the princesses into her life this early.
She knows them all by name and is fascinated by them.
Ruby is obsessed with Beauty and the Beast. When I bought her this shirt
she said in her own way "where's the beast?" She adores the beast.
I had to make her this "belle" skirt to go along with the shirt (even though the
yellows don't totally match) Quite often when I get her out of bed she
will tell me "The beast changed back" like it just happened. We
joke that she dreams about Beauty and the Beast.
Ruby is very polite and usually has a sweet little voice. I love when
she tells me "thank you mamma" or I love you. Melts my heart.
She loves all the typical girl things, horses and kittens,
princesses and babies, oh and DRAGONS.
We watched how to train your Dragon a few weeks ago and
my kids were hooked. Ruby would tell me "Dragon not scary, Dragon nice".
This stinker is learning to tolerate nursery.
The first few months she would cry and cry and eventually just fall asleep.
She figured if she had to be there she might as well take a nap.
Now she starts bawling as soon as the closing prayer is over in
sacrament meeting, but she usually calms down and does just fine.
So different from Zack who couldn't care less where I left him ever.
Ruby adores her brother but is quickly learning to do those sisterly
things like tattle and whine and smack him in the face when he needs it.
She also has taken on the responsibility of eating Zack's sandwich
or toast crust. She asks for it every time, and she takes this job very seriously.
to finish the job. And no we are NOT potty training. Ever. Never.
I'm afraid we have bred another 49ers fan.
Her favorite thing to sneak into is my m&m's, she will reach up to my dresser where I keep them
and beg for "choco nilk". I'm loving the things she can say now and how she will do almost anything
Zack does or wants her to do. He is becoming her biggest advocate. (ie: but mommy she
doesn't want to take a nap, she wants a cookie etc)
Love you Ruby Doos, cant believe how big you are getting!
