September goings on
Not in any particular order
My grandpa was a hard core BYU fan.
Last year when the UTES and BYU played each other my grandpa was in the
hospital. Kevin and Zack went up with my uncle and watched the game with him.
The great grandkids decorated his room with BYU and UTES paraphernalia.
I think they had a great time. In fact I forgot about one thing. The tv in his room wasn't
working so they had a new one brought in so he could watch the game.
So this year I wanted to do something special in honor of him even though I married
UTES blood. I took Grandma and my kids and half of my nephews and we wandered
the valley looking for a BYU flag. None to be found so I made one. :)
Afterword we took it to the cemetery so that Grandpa could represent.
My cute nephew Alex, the only one that would be in the picture.
Later that night we took Grandma out to our FAV Joe Morley's for dinner.
We had a great time and stuffed ourselves as we usually do.
We even got free pie because we were sporting our UTES and pretend BYU gear.
Ruby was in white and blue.
Cute kiddos in their churchy duds.
I'm so glad Ruby's red coat still fits!
Zack is wearing his new spider web glasses. He loves them and so do I.
They cost me 30 bucks and so far have lasted a month!
Oh dear, this was a fun night. Cousins sleep over with Grandpa in the tent.
You can imagine how high the energy was. To say these peeps were
excited was an understatement. It was so fun to see how excited they were.
This evening we also had some friends over to play games, Matt and Danie were there as well as Aaron. We had a great time and probably rivaled the noise that the kids were making.
LOVE MY FAMILY
We have a tradition to visit the "Healing Field" in Sandy near September 11th every year.
My kids love to see all the flags. I don't know that we have had a conversation with
My kids love to see all the flags. I don't know that we have had a conversation with
Zack yet about what it is all for yet but we will. Maybe next year.
Grandma got to come along with us.
This also marked one month since Grandma's death
so I wanted to get her out of the house.
She is a good sport to attend all our crazy activities.
The sly one, not fond of pictures these days.
And last but not least
This little monkey has mastered her bike. It's a really heavy bike too!
She prefers Zack's little plastic one because it's easier to ride, but when she has cargo
she chooses her bike because it has a basket. We are all going to dread these
winter months. My kids live to ride bikes. That may be why we have so many.
A few weeks ago after a horrible incident involving a play place I may or may not
have treated everyone to scooters. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.
I'm over it now aren't I?
