sweet sweaty summer (part 2)

What I thought was going to be a fun little afternoon in the rain...

turned nightmare, right after this picture was taken.
Ruby and I were walking in the driveway when she lost her balance and fell on her bum. And, like I have
done millions of times with both my kids, I grabbed her arm and pulled her up. Right away I knew
something was wrong. She was screaming. At first I couldn't figure out what was wrong, but she
had that different cry, almost to say "Seriously Mom! I'm hurt and just holding me isn't going to help!"
I moved her arm around, seemed to be moving just fine, I couldn't figure what her deal was. She
wouldn't move her hand though, I knew that was a bad sign. I drove her to the insta-care because we had
already been to see her pediatrician that morning so I wasn't going up there again. After an agonizing
30 minutes of waiting and her crying and me trying to distract her with a book, while scheming how
I was going to ward off child protective services. We got called back, Dr comes in, asks what
happened, says "oh yeah, nurses elbow". Grabs her arm, moves it in funky ways, and it's over.
That's it. WHEW!

Our little Fireman Ruby

Favorite one

This summer my baby sis and I got to go to girls camp together for the first time.
PRECIOUS!

Checking out the fireman statues in Sandy

Good times at our friends cabin in July

Zack took this picture of me, not too bad...

This is what Ruby looks like every morning before we do her hair. Hoping its
not this difficult as she gets older. Boys are so lucky they can just to the
wash and wear.

Stay tuned for

sweet sweaty summer (part 1)

I always do this, get behind and then do a super long post.

Mothers Day

Lamb Festival, they had about 15 lambs there ???

But we saw a really cool car!

In May we watched my neighbors lambs, they had to be bottle fed 3 times a day.

We also were taking care of her 2 ducks and dog. My parents were also out of town
so I also had our dog, cat, and about 20 rabbits to take care of. Later in the week
I also gained a goldfish and some chickens and dog, belonging to another neighbor.
whew!

Back to the lambs, one day it was pouring rain, we had some complications.
They got into the house. (woops)
I got them out :)

Zack adored the lambs! He loved having them chase him and making them "chocolate
milk" by putting grass in their water bowl. Surprisingly enough we only lost one animal that week.
We had some bunnies that were about a week old and one fell out of the basket and got too cold.

Water bag anyone?
Watch out, it will fry your lawn. That's why we do it at other peoples houses!

Swimming lessons!
He did better than I thought he would.
But he didn't want to go back after being dunked.

Found Ruby like this after a nap one day.
no clue

We got to stay with my brothers kids for 4 days.
Had a blast.

Who wouldn't want to spend 4 days with these yahoos?
One minor accident of Ruby falling on her face out of the highchair.
Looks like she survived.

These boys could be brothers

Ward campout
Had a rough night. Hesitant to take my kids out of the house
ever again. They cried a.l.l. t.h.e. w.a.y. h.o.m.e. and for the rest of the
night. Must have been all that fresh air.

4th of July yogurt facial

Trying to take a few cute pictures before we head to our 4th of July party.
NEVER take candy from a baby

Look at that face!

That's better!
