We like to cram as many events into one day as possible around here.
This week we celebrated Kevin's 27th b-day and Zack's preschool graduation
ALL ON THE SAME DAY.
Beginning of the year
(Can't believe how much Ruby has changed)
End of the year
A little before school Chicken dance.
LOVE these 2 so much!
Zack's class
They sang 5 or 6 songs and it was adorable.
Zack has been singing them for days.

Chicken boys

(I thought I had a picture of the 3 of them at the beginning of the year but I can't find it)
These folks came to celebrate with Zack.
Favorite buddies at school
Zack and I were lucky enough to go to the same preschool!
How cool is that?
Too bad I don't have a picture of me and Mrs Donna when I went there.
How cute are they?
Congratulations Zack!
We hope your high school graduation is as
entertaining as this one was!
(but probably not likely)
Moving on....
27 years old
I was checking the lighting so Zack could take pictures of us.
I teased Kevin earlier because what he was wearing that day made him look a
lot younger than he is. Add that to his backpack and you have SENIOR PICTURES!
Isn't he cute?
Isn't he cute?
Happy Birthday to the BEST. DADDY. EVER.
And my Best Friend
(Photography compliments of Zackery Kevin West age 5, I know he's amazing)
Later on Zack made a scavenger hunt for Kevin to find his presents.
The hints which were written by Zack, included "go to the papple E"
and "Under the hench". Good thing Daddy is a genius because he found all his presents!
This last present is something Kevin and I have talked about getting but never have.
I asked Zack what he wanted to get his Dad and he immediately said
"A bath pillow!" I was surprised and asked why, and he said "because he
loves baths". Makes sense! Zack was very excited to give it to him.
Next we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
Kevin didn't know I had invited 2 very special guests. And whats even more special
about them is they were 30 minutes late to the surprise. So it wasn't a surprise that SOMEONE
was coming, he just didn't know who. It was fun to have him guess who it was for that 30 minutes.
He kept saying, "so and so" didn't text me happy birthday today so it must be them, or "so and so"
live far away which is why they are late. Boy did I fool him. My cousins Sean and Kenzie showed
up and he was completely surprised! We had a great dinner full of laughter and yummy food.
Another great picture by Zack. So glad he got Ruby in there.
Later on we decided against the will of the birthday boy to see a movie. The one we wanted to
see "42", was in limited supply and I think has probably left the theaters by now. Our ONLY
option to see this movie before it went to the dollar theater was so see it at the drive in
at 11 pm that night, with a full work day for all the next day. Kevin was totally against it having to
get up at 5 am. Somehow we managed to carry him to the car and even got him to drive us there.
He was concerned mostly for the possibility of our tires getting slashed while we watched the
movie or possibly getting aids. (Valid points I guess....) We made it, and began to fold down the seats
in our van. We soon found that although our van seats 7, with all the seats down and 4 full grown
adults in the back with pillows and blankets could not possibly facilitate us comfortably,
in order to fit all of us we needed to spoon. That worked for about 20 minutes for me.
I was tossing and turning the whole time and eventually found myself curled up in the corner
near the end of the movie. However cozy the conditions ........................
THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOD! Even Kevin was glad we went.
We crawled in bed about 2:10 am and slept soundly.
Running around without a care in the world with these 2 is always an adventure,
and it may or may not be a good thing that it doesn't happen often.
So with that said
Happy Birthday to my husband and best friend.
