So I have this Grandpa, he is pretty great. I have been so lucky to have grown up with him in my life.

Today is his birthday. He is in the hospital fighting for his life. 

I am afraid his fight is nearing the end. 

I also have this daughter. She is crazy, and lovable, but today she is crazy. 

After doing something naughty I grabbed her and pulled her close to my face 

and asked her why she was so crazy! She looked up at me with her sparkly eyes

and gave me this smile. You've seen it before, it was my grandpa's smile. 

His mischievous smile. Gosh I miss him.

My heart is sad that I may not see that smile cross his face until we meet again in heaven. 

But, I am so grateful for the opportunity of having this great man in my life. 

He has taught me much about life and love and my Father in Heaven. 

And what a blessing, my kids KNOW him.

 They actually know him and Zack will probably remember him. 

And they have that mischievous smile and those sparkly eyes.  

I am so blessed.
