October

I thought I would jazz things up a bit and tell you the happenings of October Backwards...

We went to Heber on Halloween and spent the day with my aunt Suzy who lives there, my parents and my grandparents also came. Instead of trick-or-treating my aunts ward does a trunk-or-treat which I think is a fabulous idea!!!

Our sweet little doggy
(I'm really glad we chose this costume over elmo)

Zack and his "but" (bucket)

Poor child, he doesn't know how to eat a sucker

And a lovely family photo

Before the Halloween festivities us girls and Zacky went for a walk. On our walk we got to see mostly cows and we found a few horses. Zack loves horses! I'm pretty sure if we had let him he would crawl under the fence and try to play with them. He fed them grass and wasn't scared at all that his hand could be easily chomped off.

Zack kept getting Suzy's blender out to play with.

Halloween morning, Sporting his evening Halloween attire,
and posing with our totally spooky moldy pumpkins!

This bowl is the latest hat of choice.

This was the second time it "snowed" Check out his adorable hat!
Zack loved the snow! He kept saying "Oh NO!" (oh snow)

When Kevin and his brother went to the 49ers game and they actually
won, so I bought this outfit for Zack and he wore it to the airport to pick Daddy up.
And no I don't let him wear it out of the house very often.

Zack and I made this beautiful cake the other day!

Funny faces while eating the frosting

This was before the ward Halloween Party, the poor boy was getting sick
and didn't enjoy it too much. He looked so cute though!

I got my craft on!

Zack's favorite thing to play with these days is to get out all of my mixing bowls
and scatter them through out the house. Drives me nuts!

Oh yes, and this is Baby, we bought Zack a little pumpkin at the store a while
back and told him it was a baby pumpkin. Surprisingly he named it Baby.

Pumpkin Picking

This is how I roll with my skull shirt, hat backwards,
driving my car with one hand and my baby in the other.
I'm telling you, this is the coolest kid I know.

AHH! Learning to self feed. You aren't surprised that he is
the only kid in nursery that doesn't know how to drink
from a cup. The saddest part of all is that he doesn't
really want to learn... Oh well!

For Time And All Eternity

This past Sunday we celebrated the 1st anniversary of our temple sealing. On Saturday night we were able to go to the temple with our ward and do a session. We had a really neat experience just because our temple sealing was fresh on our minds. I know this is silly but I really wished that Zack could have been with us. Can you imagine our little "psycho" as we call him, at the temple with us? Ha ha, the first experience was probably enough for him until he can really understand it. It will be all the sweeter when we can return again with him someday. I am so grateful for my little family and the bounteous blessings that have come to our lives in the past 2 years.

We have been thinking of a special tradition that we can do as a family to celebrate this wonderful blessing in our lives each October. Any ideas? I've also been trying to think of a neat plaque or something that we can display in our house. Let me know if you have seen anything that would be appropriate.

Our Pretty Boy

I have been making some headbands for a friend of mine and Zack loves to wear them! He will find them in the craft room and bring them to me to put them on him. I finally figured out a BOY solution to his headband wearing habit. Matchbox cars! Or helicopter... (+ sticker on his forehead)

He loved it!

Last week we headed to the splash park on more time only to find it already closed. My poor cousin and sister in law were on their way as well and I had to find an alternative. HOT TUB!
We went over to our club house and the kids played in the hot tub for hours.

Can't touch this!

This is Zack's new church outfit. His first tie!!! You can tell he is equally excited about it.

And shoes to match (already scuffed them!)

Our Baby Boy was invited to his first friend Birthday Party last week.
Of course he was the only one to actually wear the birthday hat.

And last but not least, we went out the other day to enjoy the cool fall weather,
here are some of the funny faces he was pulling.

"Please mom, no more pictures!"

"Maybe if I pout and not smile she will go away"
Hope you are all doing well. Thanks for tuning in!

Recently

Zack loves "nownies"!

Got to ride a horsey at the fair

His latest obsession, dragging these shorts around
the house and trying to put them on himself
.

Finally mom helped out

We got to spend a week with Baby!

And last but not least....

Kevin and his brother were able to go to San Francisco to a 49ers HOME game
(I think their lives are complete now)

Healing Field

I'm really tired of working on our Hike post (coming soon)! Besides going on really crazy hikes we have been up to some other fun things too.

Zack loves the American flag so I thought it would be really fun for him to go see the flags at Sandy City Hall while they were up in honor of September 11th.

What a little poser. He could wait to get across the street to see all those flags!

This nice lady saw us and insisted on taking a picture for us since we were all wearing red white and blue. I was so embarrassed! I didn't do it on purpose. Kevin said when he saw Zack wearing red and me wearing blue he thought he should wear red too.

Zack would stop all the time and just sit on the grass and take in the sight of all those cool flags.

He is doing this really funny thing lately where he likes to say "oooooo" to everything.

This is the best picture we could get of Zack and I.

I love that Zack is very aware of the world around him now, it is so fun to go places and explore new things with him.

Stay Tuned

Stay tuned for an episode of "I shouldn't be alive"
(i.e. our labor day 5-8ish mile hike)
