This one is for the BIRDS and my Dad

Now that I kind of know how to do this, here goes...

We have this bird feeder that we got shortly after we moved into our house in February. We hung it and filled it with bird seed. Our house must not be on the National Birdfeeders Association map because we never saw birds there.
Until probably a month ago. Zack's highchair sits across from one of the windows in the kitchen and he can see the bird feeder from it. When I am trying to feed him his green beans he gets distracted by them. We watch the birds every once in a while.

Today in an effort to make a routine Monday a little less boring (nap, toys upstairs, books, toys downstairs, how about a movie, lunch, nap, etc...) We decided to really watch the birds! Zack loved sitting by the window just watching. After a while I moved his highchair right up to thewindow so he could see everything outside.
So here is to my DAD, for instilling in us the ability to stop and enjoy nature every once in a while. I have to admit, I never appreciated it that much as a child. But as a mother, I can't wait until Zack is a little older and can maybe say the word "bird". I can't wait until he can appreciate it with me.

I can't wait till Miles is old enough to do those sort of things.. Right now it seems so far away..

And good job feeding the starving winter birds! Dad would be very proud!

I am so happy you have a blog now so I can see cute pics of Zack all the time! I love your first post about your story and how it all started. You have such a cute family! That is so funny how Zack loves to watch the birds- he is adorable! Isn't it so exciting when your child can find something new to entertain themselves instead of the same old everyday? I love it. Paislee is still going strong on being entertained by her Christmas toys... so far they aren't "old news" to her. Thank goodness.
